Day 1Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you’ll be greeted by our team. They’ll transfer you to your hotel and provide a brief overview of your tour. At the hotel, you’ll receive a warm welcome with flower garlands and assistance with check-in.

Take the opportunity to explore the vibrant streets of Thamel or relax and plan for the upcoming days of your trip.

Day 2Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley

Today, after breakfast, we’ll embark on a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu, a city rich in history and culture. Marvel at the medieval landmarks, temples, and palaces that dot the valley. Our first stop is Swayambhunath Stupa, perched atop a hill, offering stunning sunrise views. Known as the Monkey Temple, it provides panoramic views of Kathmandu Valley.

Next, we’ll visit other religious sites like Pashupatinath, a Hindu pilgrimage site dedicated to Lord Shiva, and Boudhanath, a magnificent stupa honoring Lord Buddha. These sites offer insights into Nepal’s spiritual heritage. If time permits, we can explore the historic Durbar Squares of Basantapur, Patan, and Bhaktapur, showcasing ancient temples and Malla-era architecture.

With so much to see, you can choose specific landmarks based on your interests. Don’t forget to explore local eateries and Newar settlements, known for their unique architecture. After a day of exploration, return to your hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 3Drive to Machhakhola

Today, we embark on a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Machhakhola, the starting point of our trek. After breakfast, prepare for the journey and board a private jeep. We’ll traverse diverse landscapes along the Prithvi Highway, passing through Malekhu and Dhading. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Trishuli River and snow-capped mountains like Ganesh Himal and Mt. Manaslu along the way.

Driving through bumpy roads and narrow cliffside trails, we’ll eventually reach Soti Khola, a picturesque settlement offering stunning mountain vistas. From there, it’s another 1.5-2 hours to reach Machhakhola.

Upon arrival, you can explore the area and admire the majestic scenery before settling into a lodge for the night. Enjoy a hearty dinner and rest up for the adventures ahead.

Day 4Trek to Jagat

Today, we trek from Machakhola to Jagat. After breakfast, we’ll embark on a gradual uphill journey, crossing the Machha Khola via a suspension bridge and passing through Khola Bensi. Continuing along the trail, we’ll reach Tatopani, known for its natural hot springs.

From here, the route becomes more challenging as we trek through forests and descend to the Budhi Gandaki river. Crossing a suspension bridge near Doban, we’ll ascend through rice fields to reach Jagat.

Despite being affected by the 2015 earthquake, Jagat’s trails have been restored, offering a glimpse into traditional village life. Experience the warm hospitality of locals and stay overnight in a lodge, surrounded by the beauty of Jagat Village.

Day 5Trek to Deng

Today, we trek from Jagat to Deng, starting with a scenic path through picturesque landscapes. After breakfast, we’ll begin our journey, passing riverbanks and ascending through level fields.

Crossing the Budhi Gandaki river via a suspension bridge near Filim, a large Gurung village, we’ll continue through lush forests adorned with Buddhist stupas and prayer flags.

As we trek, you’ll encounter diverse flora and fauna, including pine and rhododendron forests. The trail offers stunning views of snow-capped mountains as we reach Deng, a charming village settlement.

Explore the cultural richness of Deng and marvel at the majestic mountain vistas before retiring for the night at a tea-house.

 

Day 6Trek to Namrung

Today, we trek from Deng to Namrung, starting after breakfast. The trail winds through diverse landscapes, passing small village settlements along the way. As we trek uphill and downhill, we’ll cross a log bridge and encounter an isolated watermill before descending to Bihi Phedi.

Crossing the Serang Khola on a small bridge, we’ll traverse winding routes amidst basalt walls and wheat fields, with small waterfalls dotting the landscape. Passing through Ghap and lush forests of rhododendrons and pine trees, we’ll trek alongside the river, eventually arriving at Namrung.

This Tibetan-influenced village serves as the gateway to Upper Nupri, offering a glimpse into traditional local culture. Spend the night at a Namrung teahouse, immersing yourself in the rural charm of the region and admiring Tibetan cultural landmarks like Mani walls and chortens along the way.

Day 7Trek to Lho

Today’s trek takes us from Namrung to Lho through stunning landscapes and cultural landmarks. We’ll follow the trail along the Mani stone wall, offering picturesque views along the way. As we ascend towards the ridge, we’ll catch glimpses of the Pungen Glacier and majestic snow-capped mountains like Peak 29 and Mount Manaslu. The glacier’s up-close views from the lateral moraine are truly spectacular.

After exploring the area, we’ll trek back to Lho, a village with a large Gompa and school hostel. Perched on a hill slope, Lho offers breathtaking views of Mount Manaslu and its twin peaks, especially during sunrise. Enjoy the serene atmosphere and majestic vistas before retiring for the night at a Lho tea house, nestled amidst the beauty of the Himalayas.

Day 8Trek to Samagaun

Today’s trek takes us from Lho to Samagaun, traversing diverse landscapes and cultural landmarks. We’ll begin by walking through forests and barley fields, enjoying views of Ganesh Himal and Himal Chuli.

Passing through Lihi and crossing the Hinang Khola, we’ll ascend steeply to reach Chortens offering panoramic views of Ngadi Chuli. Continuing on, we’ll descend to Damodar Khola and trek through Shyala village.

Crossing the Numla Khola via a suspension bridge, we’ll ascend to Pungyen Gompa before reaching our destination, Samagaun. Enjoy the serene atmosphere and stunning mountain vistas as you settle into a Samagaun teahouse for the night.

Day 9Acclimatization at Samagaon

Today is dedicated to acclimatization in Samagaon. While you rest and adjust to the altitude, you’ll still engage in light trekking activities. Explore the charming landscapes of Samagaon and visit local monasteries like Labrang Gompa and Kargya Chholing Monastery.

A short hike to Pungyen Gompa offers stunning views of Mt. Manaslu, Pungyen Glacier, and the Nadi River. Immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of the region and witness traditional pujas conducted by monks for the safety of expedition teams.

Samagaon boasts diverse landscapes, including moraine ridges, juniper hillsides, and rhododendron forests. Take leisurely walks around the flat bouldery river valley and soak in the serene atmosphere. Spend the evening resting at one of the tea houses, rejuvenating for the days ahead.

Day 10Trek to Samdo

Today’s trek takes you from Samagaon to Samdo. Descend along the Budhi Gandaki base camp trail before traversing juniper forests and crossing a wooden bridge.

Afterward, you’ll embark on a steep climb to a ridge, offering panoramic views of snow-capped peaks like Samdo, Dharamsala, and Manaslu. Trek through barren lands, soaking in the majestic scenery before reaching Samdo.

This mountain settlement, steeped in Tibetan Buddhist culture, was once a vital stop on the Himalayan caravan trade route. Immerse yourself in the local way of life and enjoy the serene ambiance under the watchful gaze of Mount Manaslu. Rest for the night in Samdo.

Day 11Trek to Dharamsala

Today’s trek takes you from Samdo to Dharamsala. Traverse varied landscapes, including barren fields and the Budhi Gandaki river, before reaching Dharamsala. Pass through Larkya Bazaar and the Pana Danda Valley, then ascend grassy slopes to the Syacha Khola Valley. Marvel at the breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains and the Syacha Glacier along the way.

Continue towards the Larkya Glacier before finally arriving at Dharamsala. Here, you’ll be treated to stunning views of peaks like Larke and Naike. Rest for the night in Dharamsala.

Day 12Trek to Bimthang via Larkya Pass

Today’s trail takes you through varied landscapes, including the challenging Larkya Pass, to reach Bimthang. Begin your uphill trek to Larkya La Pass, the highest point of the journey. Marvel at the surrounding snow-capped peaks, frozen lakes, and glacial moraine along the way.

From Larkya La Pass, enjoy breathtaking views of mountains like Himlung, Cheo Himal, Kang Garu, and Gyaji Kung. Descend through rural villages, valleys, and the Budhi Gandaki River, soaking in the natural beauty.

As you descend, pass through Dingboche Kharka before finally arriving at Bimthang. Here, soak in the stunning views of Kechakyu Himal and Manaslu. Spend the night in Bimthang, reflecting on the day’s journey.

Day 13Trek to Dharapani from Bimthang

Today’s trek leads you from Bimthang to Dharapani, traversing diverse landscapes. Descend through stony glaciers, ascend from moraines, and pass through dense forests. Enjoy majestic views of Manaslu, Larke, Nadi, and Chuli Himal along the way. Pass through small settlements like Sangura Kharka, Hompuk, and Gho before reaching Tilje village in the Marsyangdi valley.

Observe the traditional lifestyle of locals engaged in farming and animal rearing. Cross Dudh Khola via a suspension bridge, pass through Thonje village, and reach Dharapani. This village is a checkpoint on the Annapurna Circuit, offering views of snow-capped mountains. Spend the night at a teahouse in Dharapani, reflecting on the day’s journey.

Day 14Drive to Kathmandu from Dharapani

Today marks the end of the Manaslu Circuit Trek as we embark on a scenic drive back to Kathmandu. The direct road from Dharapani to Besishar takes about 4 hours, followed by a paved road onward.

After breakfast, we’ll bid farewell to our guides and porters and board a private Jeep to Kathmandu. Traveling via the Prithvi Highway, we’ll enjoy picturesque views along the journey.

Upon reaching Kathmandu, check into a hotel for overnight stay. You can explore the city, enjoy its landmarks, and experience the vibrant nightlife of Thamel. Don’t forget to shop for souvenirs before concluding your memorable trekking adventure.

Day 15Airport Transfer, Bye-Bye Nepal!

It’s time to bid adieu to the enchanting land of Nepal! Our staff will whisk you away from your hotel to the airport, ensuring you catch your flight back home. Keep those memories of yaks, mountains, and momos close to your heart. And hey, if you find a yeti hiding in your suitcase, remember to share the adventure! Safe travels!
