Everest High pass trek is recognized as one of the adventurous trekking routes in Khumbu region including three astonishing trekking passes such as Kongma La (5,535m), Cho-La (5,400m) and Renjo La (5,300m). Throughout the trek we march into the lush forest of colorful blooming rhododendron and experience the stunning view of Cho Oyu (8,201m), Everest (8,848m), Makalu (8,463m), Lhotse (8,516) and frozen lakes. Moreover, we get an opportunity to know the lifestyle of the local people and be a part of their culture and traditions in some sherpa villages and even the remotest valley of Nangpa La, Marlung, Thame valley. The venture also combines the ultimate experience of Everest base case and Kala Patthar that add more excitement and thrill.
Our ????? Everest 2 high passes trip begins with a curious historical and cultural tour through the city of temple; Kathmandu valley and tour covers some world heritage sites of immense interest. This follows with a scenic flight to the Everest legend Hillary’s airport of Lukla, one of the highest in the world and most dramatic. We then begin our popular hike through Chomolong up the raging ‘Dudh Koshi’ [river of milk] on our way to Namche and the world-famous Sagarmatha national park. After submitting our fast pass we reach Gokyo valley passing through the Gokyo-Ri trails.

3 Hours Before Flight Time
After your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by our official representatives and transferred to the hotel. After check-in and some refreshments, our senior Sherpa guide will be there to give you a brief orientation about Three High Passes Trek. In the meantime, our trekking experts will confirm all the essential gears to ensure before the trek gets started. In the evening, you can stroll down the street to get familiar with the neighborhood, have supper and rest the day. This is your first overnight in the city of temples and probably the most in the world.
The capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu, hold the historical and adventurous significance throughout the world, for tourists, trekkers and other types of passionate adventure seekers. The city is a marvelous home for the ethnic group that belongs to Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and with an influence of Western cultural. Similarly, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur are its two major neighboring cities, like Kathmandu, rich in its traditional and religious legacy which can be reflected through the numerous temples, monuments, and artifacts. You will be taken on a half-day guided tour of these cities. In Kathmandu, you will be visiting Pashupatinath, the popular and revered Hindu shrine in the world; Boudhanath, the largest Buddhist stupa in Nepal which is popular for both Buddhist and Hindu shrines and stands as testimony to the religious harmony that exists in the country. At the end of the day, the orientation session for the trek will be organized which instruct the adventurous upcoming day.
We will take a short drive to the domestic terminal Airport for the flight to Lukla. The thrilling journey begins from a flight to lukla with a landing on a steep mountain runway that takes the breath away. After landing we will catch up with the rest of crew members and we stop for breakfast at the hotel and set a short hike for Phakding through the Dudh Koshi valley on a well-marked trail and halt for our first night at the Khumbu region.
After having breakfast at Phakding, we set out for the mountain junction town of Namche where we cross and re-cross the river on high airy suspension bridges. We reach Monjo village after a few hours of the walk, from where the Sagarmatha National Park begins. We will then take a challenging climb to Namche through the dense forest of woods and stones. If the weather is clear, we get to experience the first glimpse of Mt Everest. Namche is recognized as the gateway and trading hub of the Khumbu and has a busy Saturday market – a meeting place for the Hindu traders from the lowlands and the Tibetan yak caravans that have crossed the glaciated Nangpa La. We will halt there for the night where we can enjoy the famous bakeries. With good food and a good mood, we will conclude the walk for the day.
Today’s the day to take it easy and let your body adjust to the altitude. But that doesn’t mean you can’t explore! For the adventurous, a 2-3 hour hike to Everest View Point promises jaw-dropping panoramas. Feeling mellow? Wander Namche Bazaar, the lively gateway to Everest. Its winding streets are lined with shops bursting with all kinds of trekking and mountain gear – perfect for stocking up for your next adventure! And if you’re here on a Saturday, dive into the Saturday Hatt Bazaar, a vibrant market buzzing with local treasures and Sherpa smiles. So take a breather, soak up the mountain vibes, and maybe snag some gear – Namche Bazaar has everything you need to fuel your Himalayan exploration!
After breakfast in Namche, we start our trek towards Thame village enjoying a stunning view of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam and close up view of Thamserku. Our trek follows the fluctuation of landscapes along with the wild lives like pheasant, musk, deer, or a herd of Himalayan Thar and the magnificent view of the great Himalaya. We start walking among the rhododendrons and pines forest, crossing the prayer flags festooned bridge over Dudh Kosi River and reach Phunki Tenga, a small settlement with a couple of tea houses with a small army post amidst the alpine woods. After having lunch at Phunki Tenga we steep up into a little tough climb through the pine forests before we reach Thame village where we can observe the close up views of Ama-Dablam, Nuptse, and Everest. Overnight stay at the lodge in Thame village.
Early in the morning, we trek uphill as the path passes by many old, walled Sherpa villages where we experience the varieties of flora and fauna. As we ascend in the trail we walk through many Sherpa villages like Hungmo, Taramga, Marulung, where Sherpa people treat you with great hospitality and unique culture. You will often share the trail with Tibetan Yak Canavans, trading routes to and from Namche to Tibet with the villagers. We will reach Lungdeng for our overnight stay.
Early in the morning, we resume our steeping trek towards the Gokyo Lake crossing the first high pass named Renjo-La pass (5,415m) down the sandy ridge. Marching through the rocky trail with the mesmerizing views of 7000 to 8000 meters peaks all around including Kalapathar, Tengboche Monastery, chola glaciers, we climb up to the Gokyo- Ri to capture the breath-taking panoramic view of Cho Oyu, Gyachung Kang, Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cholatse and Tawachee.
The journey typically takes around 7-8 hours, covering challenging terrains and offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. The route passes through Cho La Pass, which stands at an elevation of 5,420 meters. The trek is known for its snow-covered trails and diverse terrains, providing trekkers with a unique and challenging experience. Overnight at the local lodge.
