Annapurna Base Camp Trek

After your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport situated at the capital city of Nepal; Kathmandu, you will be warmly greeted by our official representative and transferred to the hotel. After your check-in and have some refreshment drink, our senior sherpa guide will provide you brief orientation about Annapurna Base Camp Trek. Then you will be set free to stroll down the street to get familiar with the neighborhood, have a warm supper and end the day. This is your first overnight at the hotel including breakfast in the valley of temples.

The city of temple, Kathmandu, holding the historical and cultural significance of the country, is a popular destination for tourists, trekkers and other types of adventure seekers. The city is rich in aspect of its artistic and religious legacy which can be reflected through the numerous temples, monuments, and artifacts. You will be taken on a half-day guided tour of Kathmandu famous Buddhist and Hindu shrines such as Soyambhu and boudhanath, which stands as testimony to the religious harmony that exists in the country. An orientation session for the trek, which commences the following day, will be organized in the evening.

After breakfast, we head ahead enchanting the mostly loved tourist destination; Pokhara viewing scenic nature along the road via Prithivi national highway. After 7 hours of drive we will visit to the primarily location that showcase the stunning beauty of Lake side including Davids Fall and moreover a quick paddle to small boat to experience the magnificent Phewa Lake. At the end, we wrapped for the day with a delicious supper at our hotel by the lake.

With the early sunrise we drive to Nayapul for 2 hours by taxi or car. Marching through the trek for 45minutes we halt to issue permit at the Birethati village and finally we start our adventurous journey. While marching we cross through the Modi Khola and the small falls known as Bhurunje located near to the ancient village called Molthithati. After 5hours of walk through the narrow stunning stone crafted roads, alpine meadows, dramatic glaciers and chirping sound of birds we finally reach to Tikhedunga where we get a chance to experience the life style of multilingual societies and learn their cultures and with a warm dinner we rest for the night.

At the beginning of the day, you ascend gently for 2hours observing the amazing views of Annapurna range and pause for a tea break at a Ulleri village. Marching through the rhododendron forest especially covered in the month of May, we finally reach our resting destination; Ghorepani. This village is inhibited by Magar ethnic tribes where even we get an opportunity to be a part of their culture for a night.

In the early morning before sunshine we march through the rhododendron forest viewing some spectacularly colored birds species and hike to Poon hill for nearly 2 hours to witness the sunrise over Annapurna region. After breakfast we descend from Poon hill and walk ahead for our next destination to Tadapani for 5hours capturing stunning view of Machhapuchhare.

With the delicious breakfast, we wrapped our bags towards Chhomrong. Marching through the rhododendron forest with some incredible views of waterfalls and bridges takes the breath-away for every passionate individual. Moreover, we hike for around an hour to kimrungdanda to view Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Fishtail Mountain (Machhapuchhre) and Ganggapurna. After some hours of trek, we ascending from Kimrong khola to Cheredanda and finally reach our desired destination of the day.

We wake up early morning to catch the mesmerizing view of Annapurna range and with warm breakfast we march towards our next location Himalaya. As we trek for 7 hours we pass through the beautiful forest of rhododendron, teahouses and the native ethic Gurung villages. On the way to our final destination we pass through the bamboo forest to capture stunning view of Fishtail Mountain (Machhapuchhare).

Passing through the narrow valley of Deurali, west bank of Modi River into the alpine forest we descend to highest point of the trek Annapurna base camp where you can enjoy the panoramic views of several peaks such as Mount Hiunchuli (6441m.), Annapurna South (7229m.), Annapurna I (8091m.), Annapurna III (7555m.), Gangapurna (7454m.) and Machhapuchhare or Fish Tail (6997m.). With all those slippery obstacles in the trek, finally we accomplish the journey and celebrate with the crewmate in the teahouse.

After cherishing the glorious climb to the one of the top most point of the trek we trace back to the village of Bamboo. Retracing through the downhill landscape, steep stone staircase with an amazing view of deep bamboo, oak and rhododendron forests we halt at a bamboo teahouse at an altitude of 2430m.

Descending through Bamboo with the fluctuation of staircases of Chhomrong we retrace to downhill, crossing rivers and farmland, to reach ours next halting location Jhinudanda. With the steeply landscape, we walk down for 20minutes to have a drive into a hot spring at the bank of the Modi khola to warm up the body and end the day at the local lodge.

Early morning with the warm breakfast we pack our bags and march towards our next destination. Probably today’s trek is one of the longest trek throughout the journey. With the potential thick thighs, we trek through the lush forest, steeping through numerous bridges while the sound of river will boost up ours spirits. With the various fluctuation of landscape throughout the journey we ascent to Landruk, Tolkha and Deurali. And finally we rest up at the teahouse in Pothana at an altitude of 2050m.

Well with the heavy heart today’s we end up our stunning trekking journey with a short trip to Phedi. On the way, we halt at Dhampus village for lunch and march again enjoying the view of forest and Annapurna’s until we reach to Phedi were a private shuttle will be waiting for us to drive back to Pokhara (45minutes). After we check in into our hotel we rest for some hours then you’re set free stroll to the near location and at the evening we end trek cherishing with some cold beer or cocktails.
